Dear Clarinet Students:
Thank you for visiting my private studio page. It does not matter who you are and why you want to study clarinet, I will help you to reach your full potential!
While teaching at Baylor University with extraordinary achievements, I started my private teaching studio in 2017 with only one high school student from the Dallas area. Since then, I’ve found that my passion for teaching outside of the collegiate setting has resulted in many rewarding experiences.
My pre-college students have won many honors and prizes, including the Minnesota Orchestra’s Young Artist Concerto Competition, first chair in the Texas Music Educators Association’s 6A All-State Symphonic Band, and featured young soloist on NPR’s “From the Top” radio show. ( Many of the successful students started their first lessons with me since they were in middle school. ) Some lessons are online lessons due to the weather and the distance limitation). This year, FOUR of six of my 6A high school students are All-State players including one bass clarinetist who is ranked No.2.
If you are an older clarinetist planning to prepare for professional orchestral auditions or graduate school auditions, I can help you as well. Two of my college students won Grand Prizes in the 2015 and 2016 International Clarinet Association Orchestral Excerpts Competitions (in Spain and in the U.S.A.), and others have been selected to study at major festivals and graduate schools.
I am also good at working with young children as well as senior members in the band or the lesson setting.
I look forward to hearing from you soon!
